WEEK 1: the academy. it unfolds. it thrives.

A week has already passed since my first log, huh? A lot has been done!

Let's get to showcasing the progress since then!

It's been a lot of getting the baseline of the project ready. A ton of planning and plethora of written documents, but some implementation in RPGMaker has also gotten done. Particularly wrapping my head around level design and maps, as well as design clarity and curbing the strain from information overload on the player.

Keeping everything compact while trying to make sure pacing isn't too rushed for the story is far more difficult to balance than I thought...!

Otherwise, the battle system is being worked on gradually. Setting up base stats and figuring out what leveling system works best has been quite the headache! Too many numbers... my own test-battles are giving me a hard time.

Last but not least, a very rough draft of the shop screen has been added. Nothing crazy. She's currently nameless... oh, dear bunny...

A bunch of new songs have also been readjusted and added to the game. SFX are sparse. How does one simply come up with reasonable sound effects...? A mystery for my future. May it not cause me hell beyond comprehension.

Good luck with the project! The bunny eldritch horror shopkeeper is already best character.

Thank you for the good luck!! I'll no doubt be needing it :')

She truly is. Just a snack-ish little lady. For money-- of course!
